The process to make application to the State of Florida for the Initial License process is the following:
-
Cooke School recommends that, if at all possible, as soon as the student decides to take the sales associate license course, the student make application to the state of Florida. This can be accomplished by doing it on-line or printing the application out, having it notarized and mailing the application in with a check. The school recommends students make the application on-line because it is faster and the student can attest to the facts without having to have the document notarized, saving time and money. Students can make the application payment on-line by credit card.
-
Complete the application as honestly as you know how. DISCLOSE ALL.
-
The applicant's Social Security number is required on the application.
-
The application fee to the state is $105.
-
Your fingerprints need to be taken at a Pearson VUE Exam Center or its partner L-1 Identity Solutions. There are over 60 locations in Florida. Reservations are necessary for this process. Reservations can be completed by calling Pearson VUE at 1/877/238-8232 to make reservations or go the Pearson VUE website and select"Fingerprint Services". This course is composed of 20 modules/chapters. Students can assess the streaming video either live or on-demand. After viewing the module/chapter presentation, the student must complete the module/chapter assessment. The student must score a minimum of 80% on each module/chapter assessment before being able to assess the next module/chapter assessment. If score is less than the required 80% students can repeat quiz as many times as necessary to pass.
-
Completing each assessment quiz is the most important part of the course, because as the student works through these modules/chapters, it demonstrates mastery of the course.
-
A student can not move onto the next unit without passing the previous one but, the student will not be able to access the final exam until everything is complete and passed.
-
Once all the modules are completed the student can then assess the practice 100 question exam. The student must successful complete the practice exam with minimum score of 70%. If the student does not meet minimum requirement the student must retake the practice exam until a passing grade is achieved.
-
The only portion of the On-Line course that is actually timed is the final exam.
-
The final exam is a timed three hour exam. The exam is multiple choice with four choices. The student must score a 70% or more on the end-of-course exam and be completed in one session.
-
If a student does not obtain a 70% on the end-course-exam, the student must wait 30 days to retake the exam. BUT the student does have access to the course material during this process.
-
If student fails the end-of-course exam the second time, the student will need to retake the course and pay again.
|
|
-
Once the student purchases this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
-
Once the student purchases the course, the student has one year to complete the program.
-
This streaming video course does not require additional textbook support and NO additional course material is needed; however, Cooke supplies the companion textbook for the course and also has supplemental study materials for the student's exam preparations. Once the student registers for the course, an e-mail will be sent to student with a user name and password to access the student's "Course Page" where the links to the videos, assessments, vocabulary matching excercises, text links to important documents, crossword puzzles and supplemental quizzes for the student are located. Plus, students can find other wonderful additional study materials at the Cooke Bookstore.
-
If the student fails the On-Line end of course exam, the student has to wait more than thirty days or less than one year before the student can retake the end of course exam. The student is able to have access to review the course until the student takes the end of course exam again at the 30 plus days waiting period. If the student fails the second time the student will need to retake the On-line course again and the student will need to pay the full tuition fee again. PLEASE NOTE: This requirement of needing to wait 30 days to retake the end-of-course exam is a requirement according to Florida Real Estate Commission Rule 61J2.

-
