The process to make application to the state of Florida for the initial license process is the following:
- Cooke School recommends that, if at all possible, as soon as the student decides to take the sales associate license course or the broker license course, the student should make application to the state. This can be accomplished by applyiing on-line or printing the application out and mailing the application in with a check. Students can pay the application payment on-line by credit card.
- Complete the application as honestly as you know how. DISCLOSE ALL.
- Applicant's Social Security number is required on the application.
- The application fee to the state of Florida is $105 for Salesperson and $115 for Broker.
- All license applicants must have their fingerprints taken to be approved to take the state exam. The total fee charged to complete this process varies by each vender, but is approximately $58. Here is a link the "Electronic Fingerprinting Information" for IMPORTANT information on this process.
- Your fingerprints can be taken at a Pearson VUE Exam Center. Reservations are necessary for this process. Reservations can be completed by calling Pearson VUE at 1/877-238-8232 and making reservations or going on the Pearson VUE website and selecting "Fingerprint Services". The fee for the fingerprint process is $57.25 (Pearson VUE $15 and FDLE/FBI $42.25). Here is the link to the Pearson VUE Exam Fingerprinting locations in Florida: LINK

- This course is composed of
20 units/chapters. Each unit has four sections:
Reading Assignment, Interactive Exercises, Reading
Comprehensive Quiz and a Unit Exam.
- Each unit/chapter has a Reading
Assignment. The course is designed with learning
objectives so as the student goes through the
Reading Assignment, the student knows what the
objectives are.
- Every Reading Comprehension
Quiz needs to be completed with a score of 100.
Each Unit Exam Quiz needs to be completed with
a minimum score of 90%. This is the most important
part of the course, because as the student works
through these modules it demonstrates mastery
of the course.
- A student can move onto the
next unit without passing the previous one but,
the student will not be able to access the final
exam until everything is complete and passed.
- The only portion of the On-Line
course that is actually timed is the final exam.
- The final exam is a timed three
hour exam. The exam is multiple choice with
four choices. The student must score a 70% or
more on the end-of-course exam.

|
- Once the student purchases
this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
- Once the student purchases
the course, the student has ONE year to complete
the program.
- This On-Line course does not
require additional textbook support and NO additional
course material is needed; however, Cooke supplies
supplemental study material for the student's
State Exam preparation. Students have available
to them the ability to review the In-class course
which covers all the material students will
need to help pass the course. Once the
student registers for the course, an email will
be sent to student with the user name and password
to access the live and recorded stream of the
course. Plus, students can find other wonderful
additional study materials at the Cooke
Bookstore.
- The only portion of the course
that is timed is the end of course exam. The
student has three hours to complete the exam.
Students must complete the exam in one session.
Students will not be allowed to complete the
final exam in segments. A passing grade of 70%
is necessary for passing the course.
- If the student fails the On-Line
end of course exam, the student has to wait
more than thirty days or less than one year
before the student can retake the end of course
exam. The student is able to have access to
review the course until the student takes the
end of course exam again at the 30 plus days
waiting period. If the student fails the second
time the student will need to retake the On-line
course again and the student will need to pay
the full tuition fee again
- This course is totally web
based. The course is not downloadable. The student
can work through the course at the student's
convenience.
- This course is NOT designed
to be printed for security purposes and copy
right regulations.
- The On-Line Distance Learning
student CAN NOT change to an In-Class course
or a Cd-Rom course.
- At the time of registration
for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the
student will receive an e-mail from Dearborn's
RE Campus, verifying the student's registration.
- Every On-Line student must
agree to the following affidavit: "I certify
that I personally completed all assignments
and have not duplicated any portion of the end-of-course
examination". This certification affidavit
is incorporated into the course under 'Instructions
for the Final Exam'. The student must select
'yes' and click "enter" to take the
final exam.
- Before taking the on-line final
end-of-course exam, it is important the following
technical
information be review by the student to
eliminate as much as possible any technical
issues that might arise.
- Upon completing the course,
RE Campus posts a daily report of student's
final grade report. The staff at Cooke reviews
this report daily, Monday through Friday, and
mails the completion certificates to those students
who have successfully received a grade of 70%
or better. Allow three to four business days
to receive this completion certificate. When
scheduling the State Exam, please allow a week
between course final exam and the scheduled
State Exam.
