This course is a live presentation, person to person communication, so Cooke and its instructors encourage students to ask questions at various intervals during the course.
Included in the course package is additional materials to prepare students for the end-of-course exam and the state exam are such items as links to important laws, rules and documents; crossword puzzles to help student learn the real estate vocabulary; and supplement quizzes. **See graphic on the the left for more details. |

Even though this course is instructor led and totally live interactive, students can communicate with the instructor after class too. Cooke Real Estate School has an instructor available for questions about course material by e-mail Instructors@cookeschool.com. With an e-mail to the instructor, the student will have a written document of the response. For questions by e-mail, there is a 24 Hour response time Monday through Friday, E-mails over Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday will be returned the first business day. |

- To enter the exciting real
estate profession, a student needs to take this
course and pass the course with a score of 70%
or more on the end-of-course exam. The student
also needs to take the state exam and pass the
state exam with a score of 75% or more
- The
process to make application to the state of
Florida for the Initial License process is
the following:
- Cooke
School recommends that, if at all possible,
as soon as the student decides
to take the sales associate license course,
the student should mail in their application
to the state of Florida.

- Complete
the application as honestly as you know
how. DISCLOSE ALL .
- Applicant's Social Security number is required on the application.
- Mail the application into
the state of Florida along your check for
$105.
- Your fingerprints need
to be taken at a Pearson VUE Exam Center or at its partner L-1 Identity Solutions.
Reservations are necessary for this process. Reservations can be completed by calling
Pearson VUE at 1-877-238-8232 or making reservations
on the Pearson VUE website and
selecting "Fingerprint Services".
The fee for the fingerprint process
is $57.25 (Pearson VUE $15 and FDLE/FBI $42.25). Here is a link to the currently

- State exams are only given at Pearson Vue Exam Centers. You can call 1/888/204-6269 to schedule your appointment to take the exam. Here is a locations to the Pearson Vue Exam Centers: LINK
- Out of state applicants ONLY must receive a fingerprint card which can be obtained by calling the DPBR at 1-850-487-1395. Take the card to your local police department and mail completed fingerprint card to: FL - DBPR c/o Person VUE, 3131 South Vaughn Way, Suite 205, Aurora, Colorado 80014. Must sent cashier check or money order.

- Students must take their course completion certificates to the Pearson Vue Exam Center when taking their exam unless the completion certificate was included in the application.

- This course is composed of
20 sessions of course material. Each session has a lecture and a questions and answer time with direct access to the instructor, just like any classroom environment.
- If the student has a question
anytime during the course, the student can certainly
ask the question. The instructor and student can hear and see each other so the instructor can respond exactly as
if the student were in the same room and the student can respond back as in any normal classroom communication.
- A live video conference course is where the student attends the class in-person at a video conference
center in Florida at specified hours.
- The presentation time has a specific start date and time and end date and time. Students are NOT required to attend to get credit for the course. Roll is taken so instructor knows who is attending the course each day.
- To assist the student in the learning process, the student must complete the online quizzes for each of the sessions and successfully complete the 100 question practice exam before the end-of-course exam will be issued.
- This is a distance learning course so students must complete the required quizzes and the 100 question practice exam before they are given access to the timed end-of-course exam.
- Students are also given access to supplement quizzes, crossword puzzles, and links to important documents and laws that the course covers. The supplemental materials are NOT required to be completed but are there to help students learning the material so they will be in the best position possible to pass the end-of-course exam and state exam.
- Upon successfully completing the 100 question practice exam with a score of 70%, the system will e-mail the student the exam
portal link and the user name and password to the final exam.
- To take the course and final
exam the student MUST have a computer and internet
access and an e-mail address.
- The final exam is computerized
timed three hour exam. The exam is multiple
choice with four choices. The student must score
a 70% or more on the end-of-course exam.
- Every student must agree to
the following affidavit: "I certify that
I personally completed all assignments and have
not duplicated any portion of the end-of-course
examination". This certification affidavit
is incorporated into the exam under 'Instructions
for the Final Exam'. The student must select
'yes' and click "enter" to take the
final exam.
- If the student fails the end
of course exam, the student has two options.
a. The student has to wait more than 30 days and take the 2nd exam. This requirement is from FREC Rule 61J2; or .
b. The student can re-enroll as a new student and take the full course over again.
- If the student fails the 2nd
Exam, the student will need to re-enroll and take the full course again.
- Once the student successfully
completes the end-of-course exam, the student
must give the school a minimum of three business
days to obtain their certificate.
- The certificate is e-mailed to the student in a PDF file. The student must print the certificate out and take it to the Pearson Vue Exam Center.

- Tuition fee for this course
must be made in full. There is NO REFUND for this course.
- The student can retake the course
for ONE year after registering for the course.
- If a student video conference center is not available during the year period, the student will need complete the course by on-demand streaming video.
- The student has three hours
to complete computerized the end-of-course exam.
A passing grade of 70% on the end-of-course
exam is necessary for passing the course.
- The on-demand or live streaming presentation is a part of the distance learning program. Students can view the on-demand video presentation of the course at anytime.
- Distance learning programs in Florida do not require seat-time and video conference is a distance learning course so attendant is not required. Cooke provides the live video conference presentation method because some students desire to have direct interaction with the instructor.
- Cooke School has recorded
the sales associate license course, so a student
can review each presentation or chapter
as the student desires. This
can be very helpful to the student in learning
the important course material necessary to pass
the difficult State Exam.
- At the time of registration
for the instructor led Video Conference Learning Course,
the student will receive an e-mail confirming
their registration and some information on what
to bring to class.
- Upon completing the course, the student can e-mail info@cookeschool.com that they have successfully completed the course and the end-of-course exam.
The staff at Cooke reviews this report daily,
Monday through Thursday, and mails the completion
certificates to those students who have successfully
received a grade of 70% or better. Allow three
to four business days to receive this completion
certificate. When scheduling the State Exam,
please allow a week between course final exam
and the scheduled State Exam.
